I wish I had thought about building an audience earlier in my life. I wish I realized that an audience really was a type of superpower - leverage that money can't buy because an audience gives you freedom.
This episode is about the biggest mistake I made: overthinking what having an audience really meant and not participating for 20 years.
What I learned:
The biggest mistake wasn't not participating - it was overthinking what participation meant. If you can reach 500 people who genuinely care about you, you're better off than someone who has never spent any time building relationships.
