It seems everywhere you look, family, friends and colleagues are being made redundant. And we are no different.
Both of us have experienced redundancy in the last 2 years - both having quite different experiences but ultimately feeling exactly the same. Angry and frustrated. Feelings of hopelessness and sadness followed soon after, and it was then we realised we were experiencing the 5 stages of grief. Despite finding amazing new jobs in great agencies, the insecurities remain, questioning our worth and feeling like it could be just around the corner yet again.
We want to share our stories with you in the hope that, should you go through a redundancy, you feel heard and seen, and can apply some of the things that got us through it, to help you navigate this shitty time.
And if you have been made redundant, you will be ok.
