The episode dwell on God's promises and his abilities to do anything with a condition which is " If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do d them" (Leviticus 26:3). But, unfortunately we in a world of deceit where we steal, murder, and commit adultery, swear falsely and still come and stand before the LORD in this house for his promise (Jeremiah 7 v 9 -10).

Now the house of the Lord is a den of robbers, adulterers and adulteresses, the love of many have wax cold because of iniquity which the LORD our GOD said he have seen us and his telling us to amend our ways for us to dwell in the land in peace without fear so his promises won't be constraints.
