I will never understand. But, I will stand.

Honestly, I’ve stayed silent because I didn’t know what to say, or how to say it.

I didn’t want to say the wrong thing.

Here’s what I’m learning: Staying silent is not the answer. Staying inside my own bubble is not the answer. It’s time to stand up.

I care deeply about equality and social justice. I’m DEF not an expert at this (as awkwardly as I fumble through this post .. it shows just how much I need to learn.) I am committed to becoming a better ally. I’ll speak up, and share as I learn and grow. I will continue to share what I believe in: Equality, social justice, human rights. To use my privilege and my voice to amplify others.
