In this episode, I talked with my good friend and colleague, Ian Bickle. While Ian is a nutritionist and personal trainer, he refers to himself as a "behavior change coach." I love this description of how he serves his clients (myself as well) because it really speaks to so much of what we do (or should be doing) as coaches ... helping our clients identify behavior and mindset shifts that can be helpful in working through the various challenges we all have as human beings.
Here are a few points we covered:
Ian and I speak quite often about challenges we may be experiencing in our work (as well as kids, dogs, vacations, etc.). However, one of the things I love about the diverse network of coaches that I have in my life is that we all bring in something unique to the conversation. We have different perspectives, political and religious views, thoughts on how to address various coaching challenges, how to apply nutrition science, etc.
This episode will give you a glimpse into some of these types of conversations between us coaches.
