• A lot of things make peoples skin crawl bit we still watch crime shows

• Wrote book to experience characters that are on the fringes of society

• Character has proclivity (mental disorder) but doesn't act on it.

• How people deal with mental disorders

• Discusses repugnance of pedophilia

• Does not glorify and sense of abuse.

• The more you isolate people limits the opportunity for empathy
