Ibrahim Asad Siddiq is an artist, community organizer and educator that uses his art as a vehicle for activism and social change. In addition to performing, he is the artistic director of The Free Art Project, A grassroots arts and educational program focused on empowering youth with tools to escape the pitfalls of dire societal circumstances to create healthy and engaging opportunities.
These programs are designed to alter the course of the school-to-prison pipeline and opportunity gap that captures too many of our brilliant youth.
His long-term goal is to grow the current space into a recreational community hub that functions as a self-sustaining space and expands throughout the boroughs of New York metro area. A fully equipped art center, incubator and community hub designed to cultivate creativity and develop the minds of future leaders, artists, inventors, entrepreneurs, and innovators
