If you are a Bookkeeper and a Small Business Owner here in Australia and have been struggling mentally or had feelings of stress and anxiety in recent times, we strongly recommend you take time to listen this episode of the ICB News Channel Podcast. ICB have recently partnered with the Beyond Blue "New Access for Small Business Owners" program, also known as NASBO. This program is a free initiative to assist Bookkeepers and Small Business Owners who are dealing with those feelings of stress and anxiety as well as depression, to break down in a "highly confidential" and "out of hours" way, how these feelings have emerged and various strategies to implement to turn these around. This episode includes an interview with one of NASBO's Coaches - Kirsty Hull, who explains her experiences with clients (including many Bookkeepers to date) and the program as a whole as well as the outstanding results that are coming from it. Kirsty has significant small business background herself, as do all of the coaches for the NASBO program and she gives a very insightful recent case journey with a Bookkeeper and the incredible outcomes. We also unpack for you, how you or your clients can engage with the NASBO program. This is a "must listen", that is a direct result of recent outpouring from the Bookkeeping Community here in Australia. ICB are committed to making mental health, the centrepiece of conversation in the Bookkeeping and Small Business communities. Finally, in the back end of this episode, Rob and Simone put a focus on a number of looming important deadlines for Bookkeepers and Business owners in the next few months, as well as many other key items and articles from the August edition of the ICB Newsletter.
