“Limerence is an involuntary cognitive and emotional state of intense romantic desire for another person. The term was coined by psychologist Dorothy Tennov to describe the ultimate, near-obsessive form of romantic love. Limerence is sometimes also referred to as infatuation, or is colloquially known as a crush, but in reality it is something much different.”

4AM. The lights are beginning to blur and you’re not quite sure whose house this is, but the bottle of tequila in your right hand, the acid flooding your braincells and the sound of a kick-drum is calling you. Episode ten of Iconastasia is an eclectic mix of in-your-face, everything from bangin’ electro to post-rock and IDM, interspersed with snippets of conversation. A little bit wild, a little bit dirty and so outta-control – but hey, aren’t all the best parties?
01. Moloko – Killa Bunnies

Sirens, the call of birds echoing across abandoned stretches of concrete. This week’s episode of Iconastasia appropriates the post-apocalytpic nightmare and takes you into an all-encompassing soundscape of heart-racing rhythms, wild synthesisers, eerie vibrations, hypnotic spoken-word and static. Wake up, dreamer: it’s really, really happening. Turn and run for your life.
01. The Chemical Brothers – Leave Home (Underworld Mix 1)
She said “power before passion.” Iconastasia gets down and seriously dirty with the electronic tunes, this episode: think filthy basslines and urgent beats, lashings of guitar, spoken-word sourced from Karl Hyde and John Warwicker’s typographic journal, Mmm… Skyscraper I Love You, and more. Take a deep breath, close your eyes, and let the darkness take you in.
1. Depeche Mode – Useless (Kruder and Dorfmeister Session)
