We’re back on the albums again! Part TWENTY FOUR, 70-61.

This week features A Tribe Called Quest, my bloody valentine, Nirvana, and seven other artists to continue this massive undertaking. Hmm, who else could there be? ;)

When do we EVER have time for Poetry Time on Albums eps anymore? I don’t even try lol. Here’s the written version for you:

***Today’s Poetry Time***

The Gardener
Have I lived enough?
Have I loved enough?
Have I considered Right Action enough,
have I come to any conclusion?
Have I experienced happiness with sufficient gratitude?
Have I endured loneliness with grace?
I say this, or perhaps I'm just thinking it.
Actually, I probably think too much.
Then I step out into the garden,
where the gardener, who is said to be
a simple man,
is tending his children, the roses.

To honor the top 100 albums (and my favorite poet), the poems for the rest of this series will now return to all coming from Mary Oliver :) after an impromptu diversion last week.

ONLY 60 ALBUMS TO GO!!! My word.
(It occurred to me recently that I’m really going to miss this project once we’re through.)
Onward and upward we continue.

Oh it’s a major endeavor, alright.
I’m going to try to listen to at least 10 albums a week for the rest of the year!
Yeah, I’m not joking.
Media, art, and entertainment publication Paste Magazine came out with a list of the 300 best albums and we’re going to go through them all! Well, I’m going to.
And then we’re going to talk about it! Great tracks, themes, history, info, related artists, cultural context, personal experiences- they’re all going to play a part in these reviews.
Totally stoked because I love music. (And a little intimidated! Because this is a lot to process)

If we keep up with an episode per week featuring 10 albums each, we’ll just about finish by the end of 2024.
