Dear soul, we've talked about how external pressure and deadlines cause New Year's resolutions to fail. But even with intrinsic goals like self-love and healing, the motivation often dies. There are two main reasons we as idealists give up:
- Perfectionism: The ideal vision in our minds can never match the "ugly first draft" of reality, causing us to feel like failures and quit entirely.
