Adopting a child is an enormous blessing, both to the child and the new parents. But sometimes, the journey gets bumpy.
God is the ultimate authority on adoption. His hand is on every case. And I have no doubt that He strategically appoints the right parents to care for the right children. He knows our needs!
But, that doesn’t mean the journey will always be smooth! Many adopted children struggle with identity issues, especially when they become teens. No matter how loving their new family is, they’ll have to work through their place and purpose in life.
So how can you help your adopted teen overcome their insecurities? Well, you must become the immovable rock of love and consistency for them. And above all, trust that God has a plan. And His plan is perfect.
