In this episode of Identity Politics, Kevin DeAnna discusses how Columbus Day is the front line in a deeper battle over who built America and who it belongs to. As President Trump revives the holiday, Kevin shows how attacks on Columbus are really about delegitimizing the European foundation of the United States, citing California’s reparations bureaucracy and the 1619 Project as a broader campaign to refound the country aganist those who created it. He argues that holidays, history, and even immigration policy are now weapons in a campaign to erase America’s original purpose and warns that conservatives will keep losing until they unapologetically defend the people, culture, and civilization that made it possible.
