Identity & The Struggle with Self

Substance, The Female Experience will unpack, purge, and peel back the many layers of addiction, recovery, and everything else in life from a woman's perspective. We will explore all the beautiful, ugly, complex, messy, and sometimes painful experiences around addiction and life as we, as women, experience them. Cynthia Gomez hosts this podcast that will present very real, raw, and sometimes hard conversations walking alongside the listeners,&nbsp; as a woman on her journey of recovery, healing, and growth. This podcast is intended to be a safe space for women to share, listen, learn, and heal at their own pace from wherever they are on their journey.&nbsp; This podcast is for women who are in an active cycle of substance abuse (drugs, alcohol, or both),&nbsp; or at any stage of recovery, If you are a&nbsp; mother, sister, daughter, or friend who has seen the impact of substance abuse and want to understand it more, or even share your own stories, you are also very welcome to join the conversations.&nbsp; &nbsp;We may not all be in the same place in our journey, come from the same environments, or even share the same kind of pain we have tried to numb with drugs or alcohol but, we are all connected in our addiction, and most of all, in our female experience.
