"If—" is a poem by English Nobel laureate Rudyard Kipling; It is a literary example of Victorian-era stoicism. The poem is from the point of view of a father advising his son on how to live his life. Over the course of the poem we hear several life lessons that the father deems necessary for his son, and by extension, us, the readers and listeners.
I know that this is a poem and not necessarily a story. However I feel that most poetry is a form of story telling, and must be enjoyed as such. Have a great day
