Saludos a todos los amigos de Hive, el día de ayer tuve unos amigos de visita en mi estudio, y no quise perder la oportunidad para que ustedes pudiesen disfrutar de el talento que ellos poseen, se trata de una chica llamada Bella Jacob una cantante espectacular a quien le estoy por hacer unas proximas producciones, y Pedro Lameda un colega pianista con quien toco y grabo en varios proyecto.
Greetings to all the friends of Hive, yesterday I had some friends visiting my studio, and I did not want to miss the opportunity for you to enjoy the talent they possess, it is a girl named Bella Jacob, a spectacular singer whom I am about to do some upcoming productions, and Pedro Lameda, a pianist colleague with whom I play and record in various projects.
El cover que hicimos es del famoso tema de Alicia Keys, llamado "If I Ain't Got You", compuesto y producido por ella mista en el año 2003. Para realizar dicha versión programé un loop de batería que posteríor a la grabación edité un poco, para agregar algunos cortes, dicho loop está hecho basicamente con escobillas en el redoblante y bombo, usando otros elementos de la batería solo en cortes. Después de dicha programación, los grabé a ellos encima de ese loop tocando a la vez como apara en el video superior de la derecha, ellos tenían el tema bien ensayado lo cual permitió que saliera muy rápido. Después de dicha grabación me dediqué a grabar un contrabajo con el piano y un piano eléctrico el cual está en segundo plano para funcionar como fondo.
The cover we did is of the famous song by Alicia Keys, called "If I Ain't Got You", composed and produced by her in 2003. To make this version I programmed a drum loop that after the recording I edited a little, to add some cuts, said loop is basically made with brushes on the snare drum and bass drum, using other elements of the drums only in cuts. After that programming, I recorded them on top of that loop playing at the same time as in the video above on the right, they had the song well rehearsed which allowed it to come out very quickly. After that recording I dedicated myself to recording a double bass with the piano and an electric piano which is in the background to function as a background.
