In the Old Testament book of 2nd Chronicles 7:14, we find one of the biblical centerpieces of what kind of prayer God is waiting to hear and respond to according to scripture. As we look at that text, we learn that God is patiently looking for His people to stop and consider the grace and forgiveness He extends to a struggling world. Sin and failure do not have to destroy people's lives. God is graciously looking to hear, forgive, and heal if His people only pray.
