If you have ever been interested in learning more about becoming a foster parent, starting a nonprofit, or know someone who is... THIS is the episode for you.  I sat down and had a candid conversation with my friend and fellow foster mom, Megan Pearson.  Megan is who I reached out to when I became interested in learning about foster care, and she definitely put me at ease YET tells the truth about It all.  

In addition to caring for so many babies and kids through the years, this year Megan and her friend Erin (also an awesome foster mom) have started a nonprofit organization called Fostering Family Hope, an organization committed to providing families and children with basic essentials, encouraging the growth of positive relationships within the children's family circles, and offer ongoing emotional support for their families.  I have seen first hand the amazing work that Fostering Family Hope has done, and I'm so thrilled to be sharing their story.  Between co-presidents Megan and Erin they have 9 (sometimes 10+) children, that is no easy job!  Yet they still have found the time, emotional energy, and mental space to create this much needed organization.  It's beyond inspirational!
