Her doctoral research focused on “An Islamic Psychological Approach to Psychotherapy,” highlighting the contributions of Islamic teachings to psychological wellness and therapy for Muslim clients.

She currently serves as a psychologist at the Islamic Center of NYU (ICNYU) and is an adjunct faculty member at the Boston Islamic Seminary.
