I Got More To Say

IGMTS 25- PRETTY BULLI

Listen Later

On This Week's Episode of  “I Got More To Say,” Host Cato III is joined by Bar Heavy Spitta Pretty Bulli! Born and Raised in Buffalo, New York, Bulli began writing poetry as a pre-teen after the passing of her grandmother and turned to rhyming after jumping in cyphers with fellow rappers in her neighborhood. While a student at Bennett High School, Bulli was encouraged by her high school English teacher to continue to take writing seriously. After walking the stage in 2002, an eventful 15 years followed which included 60 hour work weeks, raising two children as a single mother, and sharpening her lyrical pen before the arrival of her debut project “Respect Ya History.” The following 6 years saw the release of projects “Dope Chick, No Soda” (2018) “The Break Up” (2019), and “Duffle Bag Bulli” (2022). After winning Shade 45’s Demo Battles three weeks in a row in 2022, Bulli was one of 12 MC’s chosen to feature on the legendary “Sway in the Morning” radio show due to her submission for the “The Saga Continues” challenge that was orchestrated by Legendary Producer and Wu Tang Clan member, RZA. After setting the internet ablaze with critical acclaim for   her performance on Sway, she stops by IGMTS a year later to reflect on how the past year has changed her life, discusses her most recent album “Then and Now,” and what the future holds for an MC that has fought for her position to be mentioned among the best MC’s in the game!
