How do mothers teach?  Short and sweet. Some hold these rules gave to Ignatius. Fitting gesture exact thing a mother tell her child. Succinct and packed into each word. Comes from a master of spiritual life. Archangel, message Mother of God, profound interior life, asks how can this be I do not know man? More to do with discernment of spirit. How this comes about without loss of perpetual virginity. Virgin and mother. Succinct fiat discerned better God’s will for her life.

Pope wept at their beauty. Profoundly perfect. Help form interior life in each individual. Repetition is the mother of learning.

Three-Fold Paradigm

  1. Be aware, notice spiritual movements with the heart (other types psychological, moral)
  2. Understand that they are spiritual, are they consolations, desolations
  3. Take action (accept/ reject, or nothing) if desolations plenty to do, not just wallow in misery, hopeful and prayerful for better times. Not Stoics.
  4. Thesis Statement: This book is concerned with explaining, illustrating, and applying “discernment of spirits” to the ordinary, daily spiritual experience of dedicated people (so that they can experience liberation that Jesus provides and God can make the soul great[1]).[2]

    5. Ignatian retreat profoundly changing. Changes how look at the world. True Devotion to Mary foundational books.
