How has God been at work in your life lately? Have you been struggling to find a way to make a difference? One of the best ways to learn what a difference we can make is for us to listen to new voices. This Sunday as we celebrate Father’s Day and remember Juneteenth we will listen to our friend Baranda Fermin. She will be preaching about our call to be a Holy Nation. This promises to be a special and moving Sunday. Join us Sunday at 11 am on Facebook Live or YouTube Live.
It has been such a blessing since Gabe has started leading worship at Ignite. It is clear his talent and his passion for leading us, but you may not know that Gabe has been in general ministry for years. Gabe is sharing our message this week to tell us about how worship is powerful to him.
We have talked about how we can use our time, our words, and our resources to focus more on the things that matter. As we close our sermon series we talk about the ways we dream of our future with these things. Do we dream of ways to improve our relationships and grow our faith? Do we allow God to put a vision in our life and a dream on our hearts? Do we focus our hopes and dreams on the Things that Matter?

We all agree that the most important things in life are our Faith, our Family, and our Friends, but too often those things are the last to get our resources. We get caught up in bills and all the needs of life and sometimes the Things that Matter get the smallest amount of resources! What if God called us to change the way we looked at life, called us to change the way we set our values, called us to view the treasures in our life differently?

When is the last conversation you had? Did you talk about the weather, sports, or the news? So often our conversations are so surface level! Most of my conversations start with, “How are you?” and one of us answers, “fine.” Our conversations rarely go deeper than that. Yet, what if God wanted us to go deeper? What if God wanted our conversations to connect with the Things that Matter most? We are called to speak about the things we are passionate about and the deep things in life. Join us as we ask how we can make our conversations deeper and more meaningful.

Do you ever feel like you can get lost in the Bible? Where do you fit in? Where is God speaking to you? This Sunday we begin a new sermon series on the book of Ephesians as we hear the timeless call of Paul. Join us to hear the ways our story and the story of God come together so we can be brave enough to live our lives “in Christ.”

This Sunday we dig into the story of Hannah. A strong woman who was broken and sought God’s restoration. She cried and wept and was vulnerable and God saw her strength. Whether you feel broken now or know people struggling with brokenness this Sunday will be a blessing for you.

Have you ever felt like you don’t belong? Or have you ever felt rejected? I think we all recognize that feeling at times. God is so present in places of rejected because God has called all people. This Sunday we dig into the Guardians of the Galaxy. They are a rough crew of unexpected heroes that ended up serving and caring about each other.
The disciples Jesus chose were a rough crew from all sorts of backgrounds. They shouldn’t have connected or loved each other but through faith they did.

Super Hero movies have captivated us for a long time. From Superman in the 70’s to the Batman movies to the amazing universe of the Avengers we are fascinated with these heroes. One of the reason we love them is these super people tell us so much about who we are. They provide insight into how we see God and how we use our own power. We dig into the ways we use power in our own lives for good and bad and what the Heroes of the Bible can teach us as well as the Heroes on the big screen.

Mother’s Day is always a special day. Mother’s show us a unique kind of passionate love. A love that sacrifices and a love that is unconditional. It is the type of love that Jesus talked about when he said we are to love others. That isn’t easy. Right now there are a few people in my life I am more than a little annoyed by! I don’t want to love them, I don’t want to care for them, especially people that disagree with me. Yet, the call of Jesus is to love others, to love others sacrificially. This Sunday we dig into how to do that and how to listen to the call of Jesus and follow the call of Mothers.
