Today's episode was inspired by my son, who gifted me with a beautiful hand thrown cup for my daily tea. I love it so much, found the artist, looked him up, reached out and voila, a podcast episode with my first creative from New Orleans.

Gerald Haessig was one of 8 kids growing up in the Midwest.  He was not one of the kids who was always creating art, rather he took to the trombone and that path of music carried him through his youth and teenage years. Then in his later life. his wife gifted him with a glass blowing class and thus began his path to embracing his inner artist.  

We do explore his first experience with the beauty of paintings when his family was able to check out reproductions of famous artwork from the library and how he loved his arts and crafts at summer camp and so much more.

Gerald's latest creations are a line of accessible cups and mugs for which he has received distinctions and accolades. Simply beautiful and each hand crafted item was made with love.


We are all creative and by exploring that side of us, we ignite our sparks to live a more joyful  life and fulfilled life.  Exploring creativity of any kind lights us up.
