On today's episode of IGYE I'm joined by comedian, voice-over-artist and podcaster extraordinaire, Tawny Platis.

Tawny hosts the fantastic, Death is Hilarious podcast (now defunct), which serves as a safe space for those going through grief or the morbidly curious to learn more about how grief can manifest in a person's life and how to navigate it. If that sounds 'a bit much' and quite heavy for a podcast, fear not, because if Tawny was to receive any criticism from her work around death it'd be more likely to be that she isn't taking it seriously enough. But that's the crux of her identity and why her podcast is so wildly popular - in approaching grief with complete honesty and sincerity, Tawny, learnt that humour was integral to her ability to process and manage the intense emotions that come with losing a loved one.

We chat about the inception of her podcast, the story of love and loss which took her down this path and why, if you're suffering with grief, comedy could be an option, but maybe don't go straight into writing stand-up material about it!
