(ಒಟ್ಟು ದೇಶೀಯ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆ) ಬಹುಶಃ ದೇಶದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಗತಿ ಯನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುವ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮೌಲ್ಯಯುತ ಅಳತೆಗೋಲು. ಭಾರತದ ಜಿ.ಡಿ.ಪಿ.ಯನ್ನು ಅಳೆಯುವ ವಿಧಾನವು ಸಂಶಯ ಮತ್ತು ವಿವಾದಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಲುಕಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವಹಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಮೊದಲು ಜಿ.ಡಿ.ಪಿ. ಎಂದರೆ ಏನು ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅರಿಯಬೇಕು. ಅನುಪಮ್ ಮನೂರ್ ರವರು, ಪವನ್ ಶ್ರೀನಾಥ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗಣೇಶ್ ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿ ಯವರ ಜೊತೆ ತಲೆ-ಹರಟೆ ಪಾಡ್ಕಾಸ್ತಿನ 25 ನೇ ಕಂತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿ.ಡಿ.ಪಿ.ಯ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಯುವಂತೆ ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
