In this episode, we had the opportunity to put our Intern I'Ja Marie in the hot seat. Born and raised in Cleveland, I'Ja studies Marketing at Columbia College Chicago. She shared her insights on the vibrant creative scene in her hometown and how it has been the birthplace of many successful celebrity careers.
I'Ja also talked about her experience attending an arts high school and how she started as a promoter, despite not being of legal age to attend her events.
Her passion and drive were evident as she spoke about her aspirations and what she hoped to achieve. She also shared her previous internship experience with BET and the process of landing that opportunity.
As she prepares to graduate in the fall, I'Ja has plans to attend graduate school and continue pursuing her dreams.
