1. Unrealistic expectations

The enemy has hijacked Christmas. We get overwhelmed with stress, anxiety and frustration. We forget that this holiday is one to celebrate and honor You, Lord. Family feuds run rampant. There is little peace on earth. We forget the wondrous supernatural miracle of You sending Your only son to earth as a baby… To be God incarnate, to live alongside your people, then to ultimately sacrifice his life for us. We allow the world to define what Christmas means. Lord we confess that we have our eyes on the world…not You.
