Dickey Lee and Wayland Holyfield wrote “I’ll Be Leaving Alone.” It was recorded by Charley Pride and released in May 1977 as the third single from his album She's Just an Old Love Turned Memory. The song went to Number 1 on the US and Canadian Country charts and it was Charley Pride’s eighteenth Number 1 country chart song. The song spent twelve weeks in the charts.
