Proverbs 27:5-7

5 An open rebuke is better than hidden love!

6 Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy.

7 A person who is full refuses honey,

but even bitter food tastes sweet to the hungry.

 

 

We need more than Godly friends in this season of life… we need Godly honest friends who speak truth to us. 

 

 

 

  3 - Consider the Time

 

A person who is full refuses honey,

but even bitter food tastes sweet to the hungry

V. 7 Timing is everything when sharing honest feedback.

 

**The best way is to hear it from a friend who has good timing.

 

“Bob lets do coffee this week and catch up”… and then praise him and then speak to him about what he is doing right, talk to him about his challenges… and then give him his wounds.

 

Husbands Wives… what does your spouse feel and think when they hear you call their name?

Jameison we need to talk…

If you spend 80% of your time only taking to them when they need to do something, change something or you disagree with something…

You spend the other 18% talking about mundane things..

AND ONLY 2% OF THE TIME DO THEY HEAR POSITIVE, ENCOURAGING CONNECTING WORDS

THEN how do you think your timing will be perceived every time you call out their name?
