In this talk, Shaykh Abdur-Rahman begins by mentioning the Qur'anic verse “He who Allah does not place light (nur) for, he has no light” Shaykh goes on to mention the external and internal forms of light and that the best light, which is in our hearts, is the gift of iman. The Shaykh gives points on how the seeker of the path must act in order to confirm his testimony of faith. He provides details of the different external aspects of the body through which dust settles on the heart. By purifying these parts one begins to see with the eyes of the heart and the inclination to purity grows stronger. Allah says in the Qur’an that for Him is the pure Deen.
