Illustrations have become a popular tool among preachers to make the Word of God come alive. But isn't the Word already alive and powerful by itself? Or, are physical demonstrations of God’s power such as laying hands, prophecy, casting out demons, etc more important? Do we need illustrations as much as demonstrations?
