When three hugely popular episodes of Walt Disney's Disneyland TV show were spliced together to create a film for cinematic release, one wonders if anyone thought this would be too much Davy Crockett. Well, as it turns out, in 1955, there was no such thing as Davy Crockett! A mythical character, brought perfectly to life by Fess Parker, Davy was the quintessential post-war, pre-Elvis hero!
