Listen Later

The hosts discuss a variety of topics, including their thoughts on the TV show Yellowstone, first responders, and reserve academies. They also mention a pod coach and a potential guest for a future episode.

The conversation is between two police officers who are discussing a recent arrest. One officer says that the man they arrested had drugs on him, and the other officer says that he searched the man and didn't find anything. The first officer says that the man must have hidden the drugs somewhere on his body, and the second officer says that he patted the man down and didn't find anything.

Two cops are talking about a time when they had to chase after a guy who had stolen a truck. The guy was trying to eat heroin so he could get high before he went to jail. The cops ended up catching him and taking him to the hospital.

The speaker tells a story about a man who was dressed in a Care Bear costume and was high on meth. The man was in his early twenties and was stealing things left and right. The speaker and two other deputies were in pursuit of the man and he eventually crashed his truck. The man told the speaker that he was smoking his meth pipe when the deputies went to light him up.

Code Five: The Lighter Side of Police Work

Highlights

He posted something on Facebook that he was going to start taking money out of his monthly salary to help with fundraisers for the school and all these different sporting events and everything like that.

And he writes this narrative from Renick's perspective. Rennicks, arrived at blah, blah, blah, blah. He's like, I would appreciate it if you would pass that on to Officer Renniks and have him put that as the narrative to his report.

So Renniks pulls a case number to document the trespassing. Guy comes in and wants a copy of the report. So Renniks gives it to him. He walks out, walks right back in, and he's like, no, this is the wrong one.
