She got her first big break imitating Bart Simpson on the radio! And now, she’s one of only a few women who lead a morning radio show, waking up listeners on WLIT-Chicago. Melissa Forman has been a beloved Chicago TV and radio fixture since 1999, providing laughs, love, and lots of smiles. She shares with her former TV co-host Jeanne her secrets to success; why she doesn’t take things personally; why patience and grace are her mantras; how empathy changes everything; and what she 100% believes in.
About Melissa:
Melissa Forman is a long-time radio and TV personality, entertaining and informing Chicago listeners and viewers for more than 20 years. The University of Illinois alum got her on-air start in Champaign at Mix 94.5. From there she moved to Cincinnati and then back home to Chicago. She’s currently on her third stint as morning drive maven at WLIT-FM 93.9 – which she calls her home away from home in that she loves the station staff, her bosses and of course her listeners. In between working at the LIT, she co-hosted You & Me This Morning with Jeanne on WCIU-TV. She was honored in 2008 with the Distinguished Alumnus Award from her alma mater Glenbrook North High School and has done countless charity events, raising more than $500,000 for local organizations.
