*Content Warning* In this episode we briefly discuss the topic of suicide.
In this week’s episode, we dig a little deeper and talk about mental health. This is a topic that hits close to home not only because 2020 was wild, but also because we had to navigate it throughout our friendship to better understand one another. Mental health is viewed and dealt with differently in different cultures and that is what we unpack for you guys. We also provide tips on how to be a supportive friend to someone dealing with anxiety, depression, or anything else.
Our small business shoutout goes out to Mia’s virtual fitness classes! Mia teaches classes on Zoom Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8AM EST that are guaranteed to kick your ass and help you hit your physical goal while working on your mental. Classes are recorded so if you miss a class you get the recording! Individual classes are $5 and the full week is $15. For more info, reach out to Mia at @bodybymiabenn.
If you are going through a tough time and need someone to talk to, you can call SAMHSA’s National Helpline – 1-800-662-HELP (4357).
