The movie is based on a Scott Westerfeld book. But let's wait and see what transpires in the end, as well as whether a sequel is planned. The movie opens with the tale of a planetary civilization that was destroyed by fossil fuels and how scientists came up with a new, renewable energy source using white flowers. The remaining people, meanwhile, continue to struggle with physical distinctions.
