Kathryn Rowbury studied special education at Brigham Young University and worked in various positions within public mainstream school's cluster units, self-contained schools, and the majority of her employment has been with Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind.

One of Kathryn's kids has a rare genetic terminal illness. Looking back she sees how her education and work experience was preparatory to caring for her son.

Kathryn shares the importance of looking past labels and how labels are helpful for diagnosis etc, but the label does not define the person. 

Kathryn is a busy Mommy by day and author/ illustrator by night!
