I was having a bad morning. First the power was cut while I was taking a shower, then my car wouldn't start, and now here I stood, waiting for whoever lived in the huge mansion to open their gate and let me in so I could clean the 1,000 rooms they probably never used.
"Hello? Name please." A man's voice came over the gate's intercom system. Even his voice sounded rich.
I rolled my eyes.
"Jenny from Sparkly Home Services." I said in my practiced professional voice.
"OH yeah. Sorry I kept you waiting. I forgot you were coming today. Please come in."
The gate made a buzzing sound and swung open. I picked up my cleaning supplies and walked up the ridiculously long driveway.
I rang the doorbell and had to wait, again, for his royal highness to get off his throne and come open the door for me.
If it wasn't for the fear of getting fired I'd give him a piece of my mind. I was so angry at him for-
The door opened and all my anger evaporated. Standing in front of me was the most handsome man I'd ever seen!
"Hey, sorry again. I was on an important international call I couldn't excuse myself from. I'm Andy."
I couldn't see my face but I was sure I was blushing.
