We climb and claw our way on top (and over others) to be noticed. It shows in the clothes we buy and the careers we build and the Facebook posts we make (in which we drop the name of Somebody Important to show the world that we're important, too).

All because we're afraid that we don't (matter) and that no one has noticed (at all).
