Often, when we read books, hear interviews, and see what's projected on social media, we compare our insides to other people's outsides. We look at other people who seem to have everything figured out, and we think we're the only ones facing a struggle.
When we are in our own struggle, we forget that everybody else has struggles too. We talk about the end result, but we don't share the messy middle and what that looks like or how that shows up in reality.
I was recently in deep struggle. I felt spent, tired, and emotionally drained. The old me would have pushed through, but instead, I realized I was struggling, and I owned it. And this week, I share my experience with you to give you insight into dealing with your own struggles.
Struggling is part of the human experience. We all experience it, even coaches like me, and it doesn't mean something has gone wrong. There is struggle in every arena of our lives, but the key to dealing with it is to acknowledge and accept it. I invite you to allow yourself to be aware of what is going on inside of you. Admit it, release it, and nurture yourself.
In this episode, I share why it doesn't mean something is wrong with you when you go through a struggle and how to manage your mind in a way that doesn't bring you drama and take up your energy. I share a behind-the-scenes look into my recent experience of struggling and the importance of being kind to yourself and not beating yourself up when you struggle.
