In 1991 seven of the greatest comic artists had an idea. The idea was to jump ship from the big 2 comic books companies in the world Marvel Comics and DC. They had contributed some of the greatest comic book art in the history of comics. These men grew tired however of giving their work to someone else. They wanted to be their own boss - they wanted to create characters that were their own. They had a vision - an Image if you will. Todd McFarlane, Rob Liefeld, Jim Lee, Marc Silvestri, Eric Larsen, Jimmy Valentino, and Whilce Portacio. Together these men founded Image Comics and the world of comics would never be the same again. From creations like Spawn, Youngblood, WildC.A.T.S, Savage Dragon all the way to The Walking Dead and Invincible. They have left a mark on the industry that has endured for 30 years. Tonight we want to talk about their rockstar journey which is certainly worthy of movie treatment!
