In our culture, caring for the self is often seen as the ultimate good, but Ps. Kelsey Shepardson explains that obsessing about self-image is a distraction from our purpose.  The key to this is becoming an apprentice of Jesus who shows us the way of humility.  Through Jesus, we can be content with obscurity, knowing that we are treasured by God.
