Hi, friend.
Since this is the first episode, it might be appropriate to introduce myself: my name is Aan, a 12 grader from Indonesia, who's practising British accent through "imitation technique".
For the last 30 days, I've been doing the "imitation technique", which is essentially picking a role model whose accent you want to pick up by listening to his/her audio recordings (interviews, YouTube videos, etc.) and imitating how they speak (in this case, their accent).
I finished that 30 days by imitating Tom Scott, a YouTube content creator from the UK, (you can check my notes as I practised on my Twitter thread) and to continue my practice, I decided to pick up Hannah Fry's, a mathematician from the UK too, accent and intonation. This is my day 1 of imitating Hannah Fry in her TED Talk on "The Mathematics of Love".
I didn't record any of my practice sessions with Tom Scott, but I thought it'd be a good idea to try to do so for my next 30 days with Hannah Fry. You can join me do the imitation technique as well through this recording!
My mic's quality didn't seem that nice in this one, but I'll work on it for the upcoming episodes.
