Scripture: Ephesians 4:31–5:2
“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”Explanation:
Paul ends this section with a high call: imitate God. Leave behind toxic behaviors and embody kindness, compassion, and forgiveness. Just as Christ loved us sacrificially, we’re to love others in the same way. That’s what builds up the body.
Application:
You are deeply loved by God—now live like it. Let go of resentment. Offer forgiveness. Love others as Jesus loved you. You can be a reflection of God’s heart in your group, your family, and your church community.
