Having worked in the pre-sales departments for long enough, Hursh explains the transition to sales was indeed difficult - the first year was tough since the change was clearly seen and felt. Also, ever since becoming a leader, Hursh's workflow and priorities have shifted too, which is now majorly focused on guiding an entire team towards the business goal.

Modern sales is data-centric; knowing the technicalities of data analysis and usage empowers you to make decisions based on customer interests. To succeed, salespersons need to have three essential qualities: accountability, intelligence, and experience. Hursh explains how he assesses candidates in the three areas and why the three are the most necessary skills required in sales.
