Impatience is not a virtue. When we are impatient we are creating unnecessary stress on top of the stress of whatever we're impatient about. Our impatience doesn't usually make anything happen faster. It would be much better if we could go with the flow and accept the pace of our lives that the universe has established for us. This is something to think about. If the universe has orchestrated things so that we are always where we're supposed to be, then when we are impatient we are saying we're not content with the universe's plan and that we'd rather the universe be on our timetable. This is arrogance, ego and self-entitlement in a way. And it's potentially foolhardy. What if our impatience causes everyone around us to move faster so that we leave our house, for example, sooner than the universe had planned for us? We could end up in a car accident that we wouldn't have been in had we let things play out at its own pace rather than imposing our will.
