Something for the Soul

Impersonation or Embodiment?

Listen Later

As followers of Christ, our fruits should be righteous... a representation of our current state with Jesus. Our fruits should remain the same every day, no matter where we are because we should fully embody Christ. Listen to this episode to hear Kennedy Taylor expand on the difference between impersonating and embodying Christ.

Hey y'all! Here are some scriptures regarding fruits of the spirit that I forgot to include in my episode... OOPS. These are VERY VERY important so please apply these scriptures to your lives!!!

"He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn't produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more." John 15:2 NLT
- Your fruit is a representation of your relationship with Christ. If your roots/branches are of God and his holiness and righteousness, your fruits will flourish.

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me." John 15:4 NLT
- Your fruits are also connected to your prosperity in the Kingdom. Keep God as your foundation and everything from there will flourish.

"Obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant." Galatians 1:10 NLT
- Like I mentioned in the video if your fruits mimic or impersonate sinners, then your fruit is not of God... it is not authentic. Your fruit should remain the same in front of God and other devoted followers of Christ and in front of sinners. Many times, if your fruits are not appreciated and valued in many secular settings (not pleasing man), then it is pleasing God which is all that matters. Be set apart from the world and a member of the Kingdom of God.
