Lesson 17 - The Pillars of Imaan (Part 4):

The first pillar of Imaan - Belief in Allah.

Belief in Allah's Names and Attributes (al-Asmaa wal-Sifaat) is to believe that Allah alone has the Beautiful Names and Lofty Attributes.

We believe in these attributes without

  1. Asking how they are (takyeef).
  2. Resembling them to the creation (tamtheel).
  3. Distorting their meaning (tahreef).
  4. Denying them (ta'teel).

    5. Disbelief in just one of Allah's Names or Attributes removes a person from the fold of Islam
