8. The method of burying the deceased.

a. No specific amount is specified regarding the depth of the grave.

b. A lahd (niche) is dug to the qiblah side of the grave.

c. The knots of the shroud are undone.

d. The deceased is placed in the lahd..

e. The lahd is covered with bricks and dirt is poured over them.

f. The grave is raised slightly and marked with a rock.

g. Those attending the burial make an individual du'aa for the deceased.
