One thing that Melissa's company does each month is to find a non-profit to showcase and spotlight. This means that she takes the time to make sure the non-profit is vetted because they will be receiving a donation from the purchases that month. This helped her create a marketing and communication campaign when she decided to put both coffee companies under one name - Bad Ass Coffee Causes.
